BUBBLES & STILLS: Building a Bridge between Champagne and New World Varietals
RIDGE CLUB GREAT ROOM, TOP OF THE GONDOLA AT SAN SOFIA STATION
SATURDAY, JUNE 29 11:00am – 12:00PM

As one of the most prized brands of the Champagne region of France, Laurent-Perrier has developed its own signature Methode Champenoise style for crafting the finest sparkling wines with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes since 1812. Over the past half century, those grape varieties have blossomed in the form of still wines made in the New World as well. Join us for this fun, educational seminar to taste the magnificent sparkling gems with Camille Cox of Laurent-Perrier next to still wine versions selected by National Wine Writer and TWF Head Sommelier Chris Sawyer and special guests from prestigious California wineries who have built a virtual bridge between Champagne and the New World by working with these distinctive grape varieties.

HOST: CHRISTOPHER SAWYER
Wineries: Laurent-Perrier, Pellet Estate, Carpenter Wines, Bouchaine Vineyards
Winemakers/Proprietors: Camille Cox, Champagne Laurent-Perrier; Eric Risch, Pellet Estate; Laura Hawkes, Carpenter Wines
