Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Telluride Wine Festival.

Without the efforts of volunteers, this festival wouldn’t survive. In advance, we thank you for your past contributions and look forward to working with you on this year’s event.

Please complete the application form if you are interested in becoming a Telluride Wine Festival volunteer or captain. Once you complete the form, click the Send Application button at the bottom. All captains and volunteers must submit an application.

If you are accepted as a volunteer, you will be assigned to work an event or the box office. In exchange for your volunteer work, you will receive a ticket to either the Grand Tasting, The Toast of Telluride or Celebrate Colorado.

If you are accepted as a Captain you will receive wine bucks with a value of $75 per event that you captain plus one ticket to either The Grand Tasting, Toast of Telluride or Celebrate Colorado. You can use your wine bucks to purchase a ticket to any event. Unused wine bucks are non refundable.

Deposit
A deposit of $75 is required. This deposit is equal to the full cost of a ticket to the Grand Tasting event, which is one of the events you can choose to attend as an accepted volunteer. This deposit allows us to charge you for that ticket if you fail to satisfactorily complete your scheduled shifts (refer to the ‘I Agree’ section on the volunteer application for the complete listing of circumstances that would require us to retain your deposit). We accept personal checks or debit/credit cards for deposits. Please note that we do not deposit your check or charge your debit or credit card unless you are assigned as a volunteer and you fail to satisfactorily complete your scheduled shifts. The application process alone does not validate or jeopardize your deposit. You will be contacted after you have been accepted as a volunteer, for your deposit.

I understand and agree that submitting this application form does not automatically register me as a Telluride Wine Festival volunteer. By submitting this form, I attest that the information I have provided on the form is true and accurate.

If I am accepted as a volunteer, I agree to the following:
- To satisfactorily complete my scheduled shifts.
- To arrive on time to my scheduled shifts.
- To NOT be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during my shifts.
- To NOT bring any pets with me to my shifts (yes, this means no dogs too).
- To be an ambassador of good will for the festival and to treat festival patrons with respect and courtesy.
I understand if I fail to meet any of the above requirements it may result in the forfeiture of my volunteer ticket and deposit.

If I am accepted as a volunteer and assigned shifts, I agree to notify the volunteer coordinator by no later than Monday June 17, 2013 if I find I am unable to participate. I understand failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of my deposit.

I understand that neither the Telluride Wine Festival nor any of its officers, employees, or volunteers shall be held liable for any claims seeking damages for personal injury or property damage that may arise out of my participation as a volunteer for the festival. I also agree to indemnify the Telluride Wine Festival, its officers, employees, volunteers and the Town of Telluride harmless on account of any such claims.
